A much needed refresher!

After a long while of neglect on my part, the confabulate is up and running again! Well, I DO have some juicy tidbits and stories to fill you all in on. Just some nightmare dates, college drama, and a couple of adventures! Excited much? Figures. :)

Alright, first off, allow me to start with the date that I went on three weeks ago with a charming young man of the lord, lovingly known as 'Scott'. My roommates all thought it'd be a fun idea if a couple of us went on a group date together, two of which had to get their dates from the ward (Tristen and I). Sounds good, right? Right! Harmless fun! Isabella planned to have us all have dinner together, go ice skating and then get hot chocolate afterwards and, if we had time, watch a movie or play cards or something. To be honest with you, I was actually really excited. It sounded fun and, as hard as this is to admit, my dating life has kind of been lacking lately so the prospect of a date was welcomed news.

After some deliberation on who Tristen and I should ask, seeing as how we were the only two without dates, we narrowed it down to two friends/roommates in the ward who were in our FHE group. I called her date and she called mine so that we wouldn't seem too interested because both of us just wanted to go out as friends. I can't necessarily say for her, but I know that I definitely was not interested in anything more than a fun date.

Finally, the night of the date came. My roommates and I all made a bunch of varieties of pasta and a white and red sauce to go along with them, a salad, and some garlic bread. Honestly, we were thinking that the pasta feast would be a hit... You know, seeing as how college boys hardly ever get a home cooked meal and all, we thought that this would at least be a LITTLE impressive. Obviously not. During dinner, my date, Scott, insulted our cooking repeaditively, which I took as a joke, I'm not going to lie. In consequence, didn't really say anything to shut the little twerp up. I know, my mistake.
